A Study for analysis of Factors that Influence the Job Satisfaction of Occupational Therapists

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analysis factors that influence the job satisfaction of occupational therapists working in hospitals. we surveyed using self-administered questionnaire associated with job satisfaction, which was completed by 115 occupational therapists working in Seoul and Kyunggi province. A cross-sectional design was conducted with a sample of 115 occupational therapists randomly selected from hospital in Korea. In this study, the average of job satisfaction score was 2.91. Job satisfaction of subjects showed statistically significant differences with regard to differences in year of total career(p<0.05). Job satisfaction was correlation with age(r=0.19), year of total career(r=0.25). Factor influencing job satisfaction in occupational therapists were identified as none religion(¥â=0.61), general hospital employee(¥â=0.46), clinic employee(¥â=0.68). This factors explained 25.0% of job satisfaction reported by occupational therapists. Therefore, the findings from this study suggest that it is necessary to increase occupational therapist`s job satisfaction for enhancement on quality of rehabilitation medical services.
